As we all look into an uncertain future with the world wide recession hitting home with job losses, wage cuts, our aim in the DGC for 2009 is to try and bring some relief and joy through our music and ministry.
After a short break at the beginning of January, to recover from a very busy and successful 2008 we will be starting back with a workshop in Limerick on the 10th of January, followed with a Night of Soul concert in St Anne’s church, Shankill on the 16th of January.
On January 24th we will be visiting Banbridge, Co. Down for a concert with Cara Dillon and on the 28th of February we will be in Naas.
Our gospel mass will start back on the first Sunday of February. Thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas gospel mass in December and for your very generous donation to the Friar’s, which helped feed a lot of homeless people over the Christmas period.
We will keep you all informed about upcoming concerts and events. We wish you all a very happy and peaceful 2009.
